How can a community organization help?
Your community organization can help us recruit participants who do not have cancer by:
- Distributing FANS flyers or FANS postcards
- Creating a sign-up list (online or in a clinic)
- Posting information on social media or website (sample posts)
- Hosting a presentation from a study team member
- Sharing materials from our FANS Study toolkit (November 2023)
How can our team help your community members?
Your community organization has the opportunity to join our Community Advisory Board (CAB). As a member of the CAB, your organization will provide diverse input on research projects in the community. Furthermore, our team can support CAB members' communities through:
- Sponsoring community cancer and health events
- Providing information on cancer through a Community Health Educator Presentation or Collaboration
- Distributing UCSF Cancer Center materials for your organization's health fair or community event
